I recently assembled a visual recreation of the trip our son and I took to visit the American landing beaches and drop zone areas of Normandy, France—but the post is too long to send in an email. I’ve added a link below.
I hope you enjoy this walk back through time on a once in a lifetime journey. We spent five days walking the cliffs, beaches, towns, fields…everywhere. It was simply unbelievable.

That was really interesting! Amazing photos too. Kudos to your son on his project. It is great to know there is some interest in our history in some younger folk.
Oh Steve, I am completely nonplussed for once. The cemetery really got me! The layers of concrete and steel.... amazing! No wonder they are still there.
